Hi, my name is Christina Dorizas. Food has always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, I loved to experiment by cooking with different flavors and by high school I was cooking dinner for my family several nights a week. I grew up in a home with pretty heavy Greek and Dutch influences where bread and pasta were staples. In college, I was struggling with digestive issues, migraines and feeling generally awful. Around that time, I had some funky blood work come back and my doctor suggested I try a gluten-free diet to see if it helped.
Within a few months, I started to feel much better, my migraines went away almost entirely and my stomach issues subsided. Despite feeling better, I was really bummed about the lack of good gluten-free food options available so I decided to start blogging; developing my own gluten-free recipes and reviewing tasty products and restaurants.
As time has gone on, I have developed interests in holistic wellness, fitness and travel. I love trying out different ways of eating and try to include low-carb, vegan, paleo, and low FODMOP recipes as well. I also love to travel and plan trips as frequently as my wallet and day job will allow for, so expect to see some posts from adventures I go on as well as the occasional fitness and wellness posts here also.
My full-time job is in Environmental Health and Safety Sales and I am lucky enough to work from home at my apartment in Lakeview, Chicago. I live with my boyfriend, Josh, a few blocks away from the lake and try to go running as much as possible when the weather allows for it.
I Don’t Eat No Wheat is a way for me to share recipes and general wellness tips that help me feel my best. I hope it can also help others find a lifestyle that makes them feel their best. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks and I hope you enjoy my blog!
